Protected Areas and Place Making:

How do we provide conservation, landscape management, tourism, human health and regional development?
Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil – April 21-26, 2013

This IUFRO-meeting brings together expertise to explore solutions and develop practices in regions where balance and maintenance are essential in conserving resilience and addressing recovery of landscapes. The meeting will consist of five days of academic discussion including field trips to the Iguaçu National Park (Brazil), Iguazu National Park (Argentina) and ITAIPU Binacional, the hydro-eletric dam.  This is a great chance to thoroughly discuss and disseminate your investigations and scientific works with a select group of Brazilian and international researchers.
